I have purchased 2 pair of the BR09 by Capezio. Over 4 years these shoes have proven extremely durable. My wife calls them her tango house-shoes.
Having a completely covered toe area is essential because you will have your feet stepped on with some frequency. The cross strap design keeps the shoe in place. Get the size right. Loose dance shoes cause accidents and blisters. Buy them slightly tight. Have them stretched or do it yourself. Amazon sells shoe stretchers. There is also an aerosol spray for stretching shoes and it works great! See you at the milonga!
